Scientific method are the most significant contributing factor to the success of a young child who wants to be a scientist. With a view to encourage, popularise and inculcate scientific temper among the children, we always strive to provide a valuable enrichment component to our science curriculum with so many different ways to engage the students in active learning and develop sufficient scientific literacy.
Very recently, DIET LEh in collaboration with Chief Education office Leh conducted a Science exhibition for the schools of Leh District, under the Component of Program & Activities / Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (Samagra Shiksha). Taking the opportunity, our students participated in the exhibition and these budding scientists displayed their self-designed working scientific models and projects. They gave a detailed explanation of their project to the guests and other participants.
They were later awarded the 2nd prize through the hands of the vice Chancellor of the University of Ladakh prof. S.K Mehta. We appreciate our Science lecturer Ms. Rigzen Lhamo for providing the students with her mentorship support, timeline assistance, project development, and material sourcing.
The students were later honoured at the assembly by our Principal Dr. Stanzin Dawa.
