Lamdon's Cyclist Tsewang Nurboo Secures 1st Position in the 2nd Edition of Foothills MTB Challenge..

It is essential for educational institutions to provide educational programs and resources to students not only academically but also in various other co curricular activities. One such activity is cycling. At Lamdon we have always encouraged our children body to use bicycles in their everyday life. One extraordinary student is Master Tsewang Norboo who have always shown keen interest in cycling. He has been participating in all the major cycling competitions right from District level to the National level competitions.

Celebrating the memory of cyclist Tanishk Chaudhary, AdvenThrill, a Dehradun based adventure organiser organised a mountain biking challenge on the 14th of April on the occasion of Tanishk’s birthday. Tanishk, a young-budding mountain biking enthusiast from Dehradun, whose dream was to represent the state and the country in cycling, lost his life in a freak road accident while out doing what he enjoyed the most, cycling.

Cycling enthusiasts from across the country came together to celebrate Tanishk’s memory on his 16th birthday and participated in the Foothills MTB Challenge on the 14th of April. Our boy Tsewang Nurboo participated representing Ladakh and ultimately secured 1st position. He was awarded a certificate and a trophy in recognition of achieving excellence and appreciating his support in making people aware about cycling and road safety.

During the Assembly today, he was honoured and congratulated in front of the whole school for bringing laurels to the school. The whole school joined in facilitating him on his achievement. We are thankful to his parents, family and our school Physical Education teachers as well for their constant support and mentorship.
