Lamdon Ladakh celebrated Diwali “The festival of Lights” with gaiety and excitement.

Diwali, often referred to as the festival of lights, is perhaps the most exuberant and popular festival to be celebrated not only in India, but in many regions across the globe. With so many faculties and students coming from different parts of India at the school, we leave no stones unturned to ensure that the students bask in festivities and yet learn something new.

The festival of lights that enlightens the hearts and brings joy to every heart was observed and celebrated in a very humble way this morning at the office of the Principal. Decorated in vibrant hues, the principal office had an ambience of joy and happiness.

Over 30 non local children were invited for the special celebration which illuminated their heart with joy and fervor. Ms. Rani Kaushal, our Hindi teacher explained the importance of Diwali, the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair.

As most of these children are the sons and daughters of army officers serving in the Indian Army, our Principal Dr. Stanzin Dawa expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Indian Armed forces for always protecting the country. He further wished the children on the occasion of Diwali.
