Physical education in school contribute to not merely the physical development of children but has an immense positive impact on psychosocial and mental development as well. The modern-day lifestyle brings with itself tremendous pressure amongst students to outperform and stay ahead in the competition, which usually takes toll on the students’ health.
Yoga, being a catalyst to mental well-being embodies the unity of mind and body. It helps every individual to unite the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of the body.
Lamdon has always been in the forefront to ensure the best for our students both physically and mentally. In the pursuit of the same, the International Day of Yoga 2022 was observed at our school with much fervour and enthusiasm.
Students rolled out their yoga mats and discovered the power of yoga and how it can calm the mind and strengthen the body. All students participated with great zeal and showcased their Yoga skills. The innumerable benefits of practicing Yoga were explained to all the participants and parents. The boundless peace of doing the Asanas was amply visible right from the faces of the students and the mentors.
The celebration concluded with some breathing techniques and exercises like Pranayams, Anuloma and Viloma, Meditation and Relaxation with Laughter yoga.
The celebration was a reminder to incorporate yoga in their everyday routine to enjoy a happy life and reduce the effects of stress and other physical ailments.
